‘The Winking Mermaid’ has always had a playful, creative passion for dance and music; so yoga was a natural fit for her. After taking just a few classes she was determined to teach yoga; wanting to share with others the wellness benefits she experienced.
In 2010 Chelsea began teacher training and finished completely transformed. Living yoga, Ayurveda and embodying the flow was truly a lifestyle to which she grew accustomed. Supported by teachers, family and friends; Chelsea began teaching in 2011 after becoming certified in 200hr RYS Prana Flow
Two years later, Chelsea began an independent Yoga study in New York City. She took classes from acclaimed instructors with a variety of teaching styles and was certified in 100hr Prema Vinyasa Therapeutic Yoga. Chelsea now teaches a range of yoga classes from Restorative to Power in the Dayton, Ohio area.
Chelsea believes that playfulness is mandatory in order to maintain one’s sanity in life. Her Prana Flow teaching style transcends fluidity and grace in alignment with the basic principles of Ayurveda and yoga.
She believes that we all need to mutually nurture, love and respect ourselves and others. Symbolic of an elemental approach to all things in yoga and life, Mermaids are playful yet graceful. This is all relative when effort and grace collide, beauty is born.
