Matt grew up playing every sport possible, using weightlifting as a means to stay in shape for whatever activity was driving him at the time. Wanting to improve his flexibility and balance he began searching for something new. He found yoga in 2010 and started practicing a Baron Baptiste power yoga video at home and could not get enough.
After the growth of his home practice, he finally decided to attend a class at a studio and from there everything took off.
He attended Day Yoga's 200hr teacher training program in 2013 and has been teaching across the Dayton area since the beginning of 2014. Matt has brought the love for his personal practice into the studio. His teaching style combines the meditative qualities of the breath (pranayama) with the flow of power vinyasa.
He is a constant student, with a thirst for knowledge while connecting with all that the world as to offer. Matt is deeply grateful for his amazing yoga community that is always expanding, and for all the wonderful connections he has made so far on this journey.
When not in the studio you might find Matt hanging out with family, being active outdoors, or enjoying food and a local brew with friends.
