Lori finished her 200 hour teacher training in 2009. Her certification is multi-style, but she favors Vinyasa; for its flowing dance-like transitions, and Ashtanga for its challenging and strength building qualities. Her focus in teaching yoga is to awaken the mind/body connection in her students. She emphasizes proper body alignment, the purpose of the pose, and always honoring the body's limits. She invites her students to challenge themselves, and encourages them to mold their yoga practice to fit their needs. She loves yoga for its versatility, for it can be used to improve strength, flexibility and balance; and also relieves stress, pain and lowers blood pressure. Lori is also a licensed massage therapist and holds a Bachelors degree in Kinesiology, the study of human movement.
