The Mysore style of Ashtanga yoga is unique from other Ashtanga classes in that the group is not led by the teacher. Rather, the students practice the Ashtanga primary series at their own pace, and receive one-on-one instruction from the teacher in the form of verbal cues or physical adjustments as needed. This allows for the comfortable silence that comes from practicing alone while also receiving instruction from a teacher and experiencing a group dynamic. Students will also receive mental benefit from this practice through exercising their memory skills. New students are always welcome and you don't have to have taken a Mysore class previously to attend. The doors are open from 6-8am. During this time students can come in anytime as long as you have time to finish your full practice. Due to the nature of this class drop-in's are welcome but we request that students sign up online in advance.
