Yoga poses improve their ability to focus and concentrate and can improve school work. They will develop self confidence and calmness, which can help them deal with problems or difficult emotions. Community building exercises, and partner poses provide an opportunity for tweens to connect and socialize with each other, which is essential to their health and development. Yoga also teaches the fundamentals of a healthy lifestyle, including eating a healthy diet and the connections between the body and the environment, which empowers tweens to make healthier choices. Classes may include age appropriate breathing techniques, poses, partner poses and community building exercises.
