Teaching gentle yoga can be a very challenging practice to teach. There is a balance between teaching a gentle class and not making it a slow flow class or to the opposite of a Restorative or even a Yin class. This teacher training will give you ideas on how to sequence a balanced gentle yoga class that meets the needs of your gentle yoga students.
During this weekend training we will explore different pranayama practices to give your gentle yoga class a meditation with each pose creating a more relaxing experience as they ease themselves into the poses. We will talk about different injuries that you may see as well as how we can read the bodies of our students so that we can offer what they need. We know that not everyone will give you information as to what is happening in their bodies, some may not even be aware what their bodies are feeling. Body reading is key and essential to helping your students to the best of the teachers abilities. We will work on how to design a gentle yoga class and modifications so that everyone can get the best benefit from the practice according to the bodies. We will learn how to use props so that each student can utilize all the tools we have to offer them. Learn how to adjust and cue your gentle yoga class so that it makes sense to your students keeping it simple and effective. This workshop is ideal for new teachers and seasoned teachers alike.
