Foundations of Therapeutic Yoga

August 1 to August 2

Join certified yoga therapist Devon Schmidt for a transformative weekend exploring the foundations of therapeutic yoga. This immersive experience is designed to help yoga teachers and practitioners learn how to approach both teaching and practice through a therapeutic lens.

Throughout the weekend, we’ll explore individualized approaches to yoga by viewing the whole person through the kosha model, while also learning how to thoughtfully integrate therapeutic principles into group classes with diverse student needs. You’ll gain practical tools for supporting students in a safe, empowering, and accessible way.

We’ll work with holistic practices including pranayama (breathwork), mudras, affirmations, meditation, relaxation techniques, and Ayurveda, offering a well-rounded framework to enhance your teaching and deepen your understanding of yoga as a healing practice.

Please note: This is not a yoga therapy certification or training program. Rather, it is an introductory workshop designed for certified yoga teachers who want to become familiar with the fundamentals of yoga therapeutics. This weekend does not lead to certification as a yoga therapist, but it is an ideal opportunity for those curious about yoga therapy and considering future enrollment in a formal yoga therapy training program.

There are 10 hours of CEUS available through Yoga Alliance.

Cost: $150 if paid and registered by July 24th; $175 thereafter

*There is a $25 non refundable deposit built into the cost of this workshop. There will be no refunds within 14 start days of the workshop.
