9:00 am - 4:00 pm
This workshop is designed for trained yoga teachers who want to learn how to intentionally integrate strength into their yoga classes. While traditional yoga is excellent for mobility and flexibility, it often emphasizes certain muscle groups while undertraining others, including the posterior chain (hamstrings, glutes, and back muscles), pulling muscles (lats and biceps), and the obliques. Over time, this imbalance can affect both movement quality and overall strength.
In this workshop, you’ll explore how to incorporate strength training principles into yoga sequencing using light weights, resistance bands, and Pilates balls. You’ll learn practical, repeatable sequences that build balanced strength, along with accessible modifications to support all bodies and experience levels.
You’ll leave feeling confident, inspired, and equipped to create classes that are stronger, more balanced, and engaging for your students.
