This Heartspace focused Slow Flow Yoga will create opportunities to cultivate a deeper, personal connection to the Heartspace through weaving various Yoga methods such as pranayama (breathing), guided meditation, readings, aromatherapy, and/or Bhakti inspired mantra chant music (sometimes with the harmonium) along with the basic flow of asanas (yoga postures). Poses in this class will typically be held just a bit longer and flow at a slower pace, with an emphasis on alignment, sense awareness, and inner connection- balancing body, mind, and spirit. Restorative poses will often be utilized at the beginning and/or end of class to invite connection, reflection, and relaxation. During the chant music, students are encouraged to join in or to simply listen and absorb the vibrations. This class is ideal for anyone seeking yoga for stress release, relaxation, mindfulness, and/or self-awakening. Modifications make this class suitable for all levels of practitioners. Beginners are welcome- the flow of poses is typically demonstrated throughout the class.
